Counseling Services
Small Group - Our small groups are developmentally appropriate and designed to incorporate interactive role play and games to help teach self-regulation and emotional control.
Counseling Lessons - The counseling lesson curriculum is formed with input from staff, students, and parents utilizing CCSD Student Standards and Competencies for Academic, College & Career, and Interpersonal domains.
Professional School Counselors
Cynthia Smith, PhD, LPC, NCC Hello Riverside Family! Prior to school counseling, I provided community-based mental health services. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Due to my husband’s military career, I have lived in many different places in the United States. Since his retirement we have permanently made Atlanta home with our two sons. I hold a Bachelors of Art degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University and Master’s degrees in both Counseling and Gerontology from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. I hold Ph.D. in Human and Social Services with a specialization in Gerontology from Walden University. I am looking forward to working with you and your children!
Russell Meziere, M.Ed. Mr. Meziere graduated Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Georgia. He has twelve years of experience as a school counselor. Mr. Meziere is a member of the American School Counselor Association. He retired from the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve after 21 years of service.
